Description
Canvasback drake, Ken Anger, Dunnville, Ontario, 2nd quarter 20th century.
His earlier style circa 1930's. Hollow carved with relief wing and incised feather carving. Feather rasping and scratch feather paint.
CONDITION: Original paint with minor to moderate wear; tight cracks in each eye; tight crack in breast; red on head appears to have old repaint taken down on head.
Provenance: Peter Brown collection to the benefit of DU Canada.
