Full size rooster weathervane attributed to Jim Brockman, Pungo, Virginia.
Measures approximately 24" tall with the carved wooden stand and 21" wide with carved wooden arrow directional. Relief carved wings with extended wing tips. Inserted leather comb and wattle. Was made for the Chincoteague Refuge Museum and sold at the Museum auction. A nicely made folk art carving.
CONDITION: A few minor paint rubs; professional repair by Russ Allen to reattach part of the arrow.
Provenance: Chincoteague Refuge Museum auction.
