Description

Group of mallard head paper clips, Judd Manufacturing Co., Wallingford, Connecticut, second half 19th century.

These early cast iron clips are heavy duty and made to hang on a wall where you could hold paper in its spring loading beak.  Three have '5160' stamped in the base.  Three do not and may be later verions.  All retain the original glass eyes.

CONDITION:  Worn paint on all with some flaking and discoloration; one of the stamped ones appears to be brass and never painted.

($300 - $400)
