Preening bluebill hen, Dick Bonner, Grand Rapids, Michigan, circa 1950's.
Balsa body with inserted fiberboard tail. 'DB' stamped on keel. Dick Bonner was born and raised in Grand Rapids and began carving decoys for his own use at the age of 14. He moved to Louisiana in 1974 where he focused on his decorative competition carvings.
CONDITION: Original paint with minor wear; some blunting to tip of tail.
