Description

Canvasback drake, Joe Marr, Heron Lake, Minnesota, 1st quarter 20th century.

'Horse head' style with slightly humped back and wooden keel.  'III' carved under bill and under breast.  Measures 13 1/2" long.

CONDITION:  Mix of original and very early in use repaint with moderate flaking and wear; drying cracks in body; cracks vertically and horizontally through neck.

Provenance:  Don Buchanan estate.
