Description

Large merganser from Chincoteague, Virginia, 2nd quarter 20th century.

Blasa body with carved extended crest and incised wing carving.  Measures 17" long.

CONDITION:  Original paint with minor to moderate flaking and wear; 3/4 of bill is a crude replacement; small dents and minor flaking to filler at neck seat.

Provenance:  Ex-collection of Ellery Clark.
