Description

Merganser drake, Harold Thengs, Babylon, Long Island, New York, 2nd quarter 20th century.

Lightweight balsa with keel carved out from the body.  Thick textured paint.  Mackey collection ink stamp on underside.  Measures 16" long.

CONDITION:  Old in use repaint with moderate flaking and wear; dents and cracks in body; multiple cracks in neck; rusted tack eyes with losses.
